Europe Equals Equality connected youth from Serbia and Croatia through fostering debate about controversial issues for both societies.Particiipants of the project promoted European values: taking responsibility for dealing with the past, calling for institutional responsibility and respecting human and minority rights.

Project took place in eight cities: Šid, Apatin and Bačka Palanka in Serbia and Osijek, Vukovar, Slavonski Brod and Pakrac in Croatia.

In the Phase I twenty four activists participated on the Training for Trainers where they learned about the basics of human and minority rights, mechanism of protection, dealing with the past and having an opportunity to visit sites of memory in Vukovar and Ovčara. Phase II had two Caravans of Friendship with the participants touring the cities and having street actions to promote the values they stand for.

Phase III saw Trainings for activitst, where participants of the projects held multiplication trainings for the youth from their towns.

Phase IV “Time for Europe” provided a space in each town to hold a festival of human rights, organising debates, film screenings, testimonials, round tables, exhibitions, lectures and concerts.

Final event was a conference in Belgrade to promote the results of the projects.
